Wed 21 Nov 2007

A STRING of influential figures from the housing industry have been named as judges for the first Scottish Home Awards, to be held next year.

Peter Weanie, director of the Dunfermline Building Society, and Janey Milligan, chairman of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Scotland, will be part of a team selected to judge the quality and diversity of new housing being created across Scotland. Kirsty McLuckie, the property editor of The Scotsman, is also to sit on the panel, which will be chaired by Margaret Curran MSP, former minister for communities and the opposition spokesperson on communities, health and wellbeing.
